Description

Zifi Dry Syrup 30 ml contains Cefixime, a broad-spectrum 3rd generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It is mainly prescribed in children for the treatment of bacterial infections, especially when tablets/capsules are not suitable. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, causing bacterial death.

Uses / Indications

• Respiratory tract infections – pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, pneumonia

• Ear, nose & throat (ENT) infections – otitis media, sinusitis

• Urinary tract infections (UTI)

• Typhoid fever (Salmonella infections)

• Skin & soft tissue infections

Dosage (General Guidance)

(Strictly as per pediatrician’s advice)

• Children (>6 months): 8 mg/kg/day in 1–2 divided doses

• Duration: Typically 5–14 days depending on infection type

Reconstitution & Use:

• Add boiled & cooled water up to the mark on the bottle, shake well

• Shake before each use

• Use measuring cup/syringe for accurate dosing

• Diarrhea, loose stools

• Abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting

• Skin rash, itching (allergic reaction)

• Rare: Severe allergy (anaphylaxis), blood count changes

Precautions / Warnings
