Description:

Gemer P1 Tablet ER is a triple drug combination used for the management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. It is prescribed when diet, exercise, and single/dual therapy are insufficient.

  • Glimepiride stimulates the pancreas to release insulin, lowering blood sugar.

  • Metformin reduces glucose production in the liver, delays intestinal sugar absorption, and improves insulin sensitivity.

  • Pioglitazone enhances the body’s response to insulin in fat, muscle, and liver tissues.

Together, they provide powerful blood sugar control, reduce fluctuations in fasting and post-meal glucose, and help prevent diabetes-related complications.


Uses:

  • Control of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in adults

  • Reduces risk of long-term complications (kidney damage, neuropathy, retinopathy, heart disease, stroke)


Dosage & Administration:

  • Taken once daily with food (as prescribed by doctor)

  • Swallow whole; do not crush or chew (Extended Release formulation)

  • Regular monitoring of blood sugar and HbA1c is necessary


Common Side Effects:

  • Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) – sweating, dizziness, hunger, tremors
