Description
Oflomac 200 Tablet contains Ofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic.
It works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for bacterial DNA replication, thereby killing the bacteria.
It is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections in adults.

Respiratory tract infections (pneumonia, bronchitis)

ENT infections (sinusitis, otitis media, tonsillitis)

Urinary tract infections (UTI), cystitis, pyelonephritis

Gastrointestinal infections (infective diarrhea, dysentery, typhoid fever)

Sexually transmitted infections (gonorrhea, chlamydia)
Dosage (General Guidance)

Adults: Usually 200 mg twice daily (400 mg/day)

Duration: 5–14 days depending on infection type and severity
Route: Oral
Advice: Take with water, preferably before or after meals; avoid dairy products or antacids close to dosing time

Precautions / Warnings

Use with caution in elderly patients, seizure disorders, tendon disorders, or heart rhythm problems

Avoid excessive sunlight exposure (photosensitivity risk)
