Composition

Each tablet contains:

• Telmisartan 40 mg (Angiotensin II Receptor Blocker – ARB)

Uses / Indications

Stamlo-T 40/50 Tablet is prescribed for:

• Hypertension (High Blood Pressure) – when BP is not controlled by a single drug.

• Reducing the risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney complications from uncontrolled BP.

• Cardiovascular protection in diabetic and high-risk patients.

Mechanism of Action

• Telmisartan (ARB): Blocks angiotensin II receptors → prevents vessel narrowing → lowers BP.

• Amlodipine (CCB): Relaxes and widens blood vessels by blocking calcium entry → improves blood flow & reduces heart strain.

• Dual action ensures better and sustained blood pressure control.

Dosage & Administration

• Usual adult dose: 1 tablet once daily.

• Should be taken at the same time every day.

• Can be taken with or without food.

• Do not discontinue suddenly without doctor’s advice.

Side Effects

Common side effects:

• Dizziness, headache

• Swelling of ankles/feet (from Amlodipine)

• Flushing, fatigue

• High potassium levels (from Telmisartan)
